These systems are limited to applying a single agrochemical, such as a fertilizer blend, at varying rates, thus hindering their ability to precisely administer different liquid agrochemicals, like specific aqueous nutrient solutions (nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium), at independent variable rates. Moreover, existing VRT applicators often employ continuous application mechanisms. According to a study published in Precsion Agriculture, this approach may not be suitable for tree crops, which may require targeted or localized application methods. 

The Smart VRT Spray 60/100 addresses these challenges. Multiple units of the Smart VRT Spray 60/100 can be installed in a single sprayer to manage multiple agrochemicals. Furthermore, it not only possesses the capability to apply agrochemicals continuously at variable rates, as typically needed for cereal crops, but also facilitates localized application for tree crops.

Easy Installation
The Smart VRT Spray 60/100 boasts a straightforward installation process with two key components:

a) Smart Control Panel (Component 1):
i) Mount this conveniently in your tractor’s cabin for easy access and visibility.

b) VRT Flow Control System (Component 2):
ii) Install on an agricultural sprayer horizontally as shown in above diagram i.e. It should be connected to an outlet of the liquid distributor while closing all other outlets of the booms. Outlet of VRT flow control system should be connected to the booms having spray nozzles via handle valves. It can control the flow from 2 to 60 L/min allowing the application rate of 29 to 857 L/ha (max. error ±2%) at a travel speed of 7 km/h  (Smart VRT Spray 60), while a  flow control from 6 to 100 L/min allowing the application rate of 86 to 1429 L/ha (max. error ±4.2%) at a travel speed of 7 km/h can be acheived using VRT Spray 100.

iii) For tree crops, there is a need of installing the tree sensor at ½ of the spot application distance ahead from the boom/spray nozzles along travel path probably on the mud guard of the tractor, in case of a tractor operated boom sprayer. It has maximum tree detection range of 2.5 m.
